I downloaded Sweet Midi (2.4.4) and followed the instructions. I had to reboot my old Macbook Pro (2006) running OS X 10.6. So here's where it gets little more complicated. Anyone have a Boomerang Sidecar that they'd sell me? Is there anyone who is willing to walk me through this process? Has anyone updated the firmware on the Boomerang III? I feel like a noob with this MIDI controller and command sending. I've even used my wife's old laptop running Windows and tried it that way. I just ordered a new more proper MIDI-USB interface from M-Audio and that will be coming in a day or two. I'm following the directions from the the website and have been fighting this issue for over 20 hours. I cannot get the new firmware to load on the 'Rang. I can get the computer to recognize the MIDI-USB controller and it tests out fine. I have a MIDI-USB interface cable (some cheap Walmart $6 controller thing).

So in order to even begin this process of rewiring my setup I need to update the firmware settings. (drum loops through a guitar amp sound like tin cans) And these second 'Rang loops would run to a secondary mixer and speaker cab setup. I'm looking to get 2 'Rangs running with sync to expand the looper section in the same manner L/R, one for a drum line the other for bass. I've had great success with it using A/B switches and mixer settings to balance things out. one for guitar loops, and the second for vocal harmonies. The latest version 3.5 has some awesome feature and the Brother-Sync option release a few years ago fits the bill for what I'm looking to do. I'm waiting to expand and do some really crazy things with my looper. So here I am 10 years later, and I'm still rocking the 'Rang with that old firmware. 036) and it didn't even have the final first release firmware (.050). He let me know that I was getting pre-beta firmware (version. I bought one of the first boomerang III pedals from Mike. That was an awesome pedal back in they day, a little noisy, but I made it work. I started looping nearly 15 years ago with the Boomerang Plus.
